How My Mind Healed Itself – 15 Lessons Learned in Therapy and 23 Ways to Help You

I have written a book together with renowned international hypnotherapist Lee Harrold.

Our book documents my own journey through therapy and all of the ways my mind was able to heal itself. Even though I was already a trained psychologist and hypnotherapist when I approached Lee, I was able to learn several new theories and techniques while undergoing my therapy with him, and we had many interesting discussions. Lee and I were able to share each of our perspectives and ideas on mental health with each other – and how we have each used our knowledge to help thousands of different people over the years.

Sharing our knowledge with each other helped us both to grow and become better therapists and healers in so many ways. After my therapy journey was over, Lee and I remained close friends. We decided to share our experience with the world by writing a book together. As well as telling my own story as a client and Lee’s perspective as a therapist, we have also included 23 different practical exercises to help you with your journey. Each of these exercises comes with a free audio recording for you to listen to at home. You can find these audios on our You Tube channel*. We have also shared the ’15 important lessons learned’ during my therapy which I believe everyone should know if they are serious about improving their mental health.

* Susan is currently in the process of moving all of her work across to her You Tube channel www.youtube.com/@pieces-of-mind, so that she can provide them to anyone who may need them for free. Going live in March 2024.

We really hope that you like what we have produced for you. The book will be available early 2024. Please check back for updates.

What happens when a broken Psychologist goes for therapy with a Cognitive Hypnotherapist?  What will they learn from each other?  And how can they then go on to use their joint knowledge to help others who may also be suffering from their own mental health issues?

This is a book about hope.   About finding the strength to overcome any obstacle.  Following one person’s long journey from a very dark place back to happiness, this book documents all the steps taken, all the truths revealed, and all the lessons learned during therapy.  It outlines all the techniques used along the way.  It shows how anyone can use the endless capacity of their mind to heal the broken parts of themselves.   Written from the perspective of the client – a Psychologist – and her therapist – a Cognitive Hypnotherapist – this book outlines how the mind can change how it views both itself and the world around it.  It documents how trauma, anxiety and grief can be turned into peace, acceptance and optimism for the future.  This book includes several tasks and audio recordings designed to help anyone address the problems they are currently facing and start their own journey towards better mental health.  Also included are inspirational first-person accounts of others who have already won their battles.  When the external world may seem very dark, this book shows how people can find the light within themselves..
